Mark & Katie with the Sawyer Family after they tied the knot.

It all began when my wife and I were looking for the perfect venue for our summer wedding in Door County. I spent my summers vacationing in Northern Door as a teenager and my wife was fortunate enough to be born and raised in Egg Harbor. We wanted something unique, yet personal that we could share with our friends and family.

Then an idea was sparked. We approached my wife's father the winter we were engaged to ask if he'd consider letting us have our ceremony and reception at his parent's farm where my wife grew up playing as a child. The answer was a resounding YES and the farm transformed over the next year with numerous renovations and updates. The first wedding was held at Sawyer Farms in 2014 and we are excited to be able to share this truly magical place with future couples to experience their very own special day.

We're proud to be a local, family run business with a rich history in the county spanning six generations. Bill & Millie Sawyer purchased the Sawyer Farms property in 1954, where they raised their family and operated it as a dairy farm. It was later taken over by their son, John who continues to work the land as a beef and crop farmer.

We look forward to working with you to make your special event a reality.
